Root canal therapy of a lower molar with irreversible pulpitis

Chief complaint
Severe spontaneous night pain in the lower left quadrant, worse with heat.
Diagnosis
Symptomatic irreversible pulpitis with acute apical periodontitis.
Treatment plan
Local anaesthesia and isolation, access cavity and electronic working-length determination, rotary cleaning and shaping with sodium hypochlorite irrigation, interappointment medicament, then obturation and coronal restoration.
